Ultimately a frame should protect and enhance a picture, without dominating it. Good conservation materials (acid free) are always used by Claire in order that a frame and its contents lasts a lifetime.
You may need to consider specialist glass, does the picture need protecting from UV light? or will it hang in an area that will get a lot of reflection? Claire can help with all these decisions.
Hand finishing
All frames are cut to size and built by hand, using foot operated machinery. Attention to detail is paramount to all framing jobs.
Glass
Many glass options to choose from for your frame. Claire can advise depending on the level of light-fast quality needed.
Picture frame glass has come a long way since the non-reflective 1970’s glass.
Choose from standard float glass, UV glass, anti-reflect water white glass (no tint) and has 70% UV filter etc..A triumph in 21st century technology.
